DOBI FOUNDATION TEENAGE CONFERENCE 3.0: Funto Ibuoye, others to speak at conference

The DOBI TEENAGE FOUNDATION, pioneered by  Deborah Famuwagun and her team will on the 20th of October, 2018, host about 300 girls for her annual teenage conference, this being the third in a row, at Caleb International College, Kayode Odusola Crescent off CMD/Magodo Road, Ikosi GRA, Lagos.

This conference has been consistent over the years in reaching out to young girls within the age of 13 and 19 to ensure they have a balanced and holistic life now and in the near future. According to the convener, Deborah Famuwagun, the theme for this year’s conference, "MY SEXUALITY" came about because it has been noted from research that once the sexual life of a young girl is tampered with, it alters every other area of her life. In this light, she is affected psychologically, academically, emotionally, socially and even health wise.

One of the major causes of this problem is lack of proper sex education for the girl child at the right time and by the right set of people. Parents shy away from engaging their kids in proper and appropriate sex education and the schools have not fully embraced this in their curriculum.

As an organisation with a vision to be a catalyst for female teens to pursue excellence and serve as a platform to mould their lives for a holistic living, we are taking up the task to mitigate this problem by equipping teenage girls with the right and appropriate information.

The event will be graced by Funto Ibuoye who is the keynote speaker for this year’s edition, alongside Mrs Obiageri Okeoma who is the guest speaker. The panellists include Vera Alex, Chiamaka Okoro, Esq, Atinuke Yakubu, Dr Toluwakade Toyin-Kehinde, Arowolo Damilare.

DOBI TEENAGE CONFERENCE 3.0 holds at Caleb International College, Kayode Odusola Crescent off CMD/Magodo Road, Ikosi GRA, Lagos, by 10 a.m.

Attendance is FREE.

The target audience for the conference is girls within the age of 13 and 19.

Please, feel free to share this information with any teen that needs to be in this conference.

See you there!
